How do I join MIST?
Have a talent you'd wish to showcase? Get Mistified! Getting Mistified is a simple process. Attend your nearest MIST meeting whether it be done by your school or local MSA. Choose competitions you would like to compete in from the MIST website at www.mistflorida.org, also linked down below. Register with your team using the link they provide you. We hope to see you! |
If I am a guest, will my cost be covered by UAF?
Because of our big team, guests will have to pay for their own rooms and find their own transportation. For further assistance, reach out to us through email or Instagram (listed on the contact page).

Who do I go to for detailed answers?
Thankfully, resources are all around for everyone to access for an enjoyable MIST experience with the falcons. You can contact us with specific questions under our 'contact' tab or talk to our lead adviser, Sr. Hamdh or a coach. However, there is a student team for all the students to go to. Reach out to Abdullah Islam, Lama Othman, Diban Sabbagh, Maleeha Ahmad, Azeem Khan, Faatima Quadeer or Leena Wajahat and you will receive the best answers from our trusted Mist board. Can you compete in more than one competition in a category?
No. Unfortunately MIST doesn't allow you to compete in more than one competition in each category, whether that be brackets, group projects, arts, etc.

Where are UAF MIST meetings held?
We always want to be sure we're ready to take on the competition the best we can. Our meetings are usually held in the UAF Assembly Room (F15), unless further notified otherwise. As a UAF Falcon attending MIST, can you only compete in basketball?
No. Although, good basketball players are talented, UAF encourages its falcons to go out of their comfort zone for mist and to participate in other categories making use of talents other than basketball.
