MOHAMAD HARRAKA"Hi. My name is Mohamad Harraka. My advice for the ones who are starting out with MIST is try everything you think you're remotely good at. Who knows, you might surprise yourself. For the ones who have been doing MIST for a while, always be prepared, and when you're having fun doing the competition, the judges can see it, and that's always a good thing. Remember, winning isn't everything, but it feels GREAT when you get overall student two years in a row."

SAFIYYAH KAUSAR"Asalamualaikum! As someone who has been a part of UAF since 1st grade, my main advice would be to be grateful for everything and everyone around you. All these years at UAF have taught me to be grateful for my community that raised me to be who I am today. Never forget where you came from, and the hands that held you through all of life's ups and downs."

REEMAN ALNAJAR"Being a competitor at MIST during my four years of high school taught me so much about community and involvement! MIST is such an awesome way for students to get out of their comfort zones, yet still be surrounded by a supporting a loving Muslim community. My advice to anyone participating in MIST is to have fun and make the most out of the competition, while still challenging yourself to stand out as a team and competitor. Lastly, try to use the theme as a source of self improvement and personal reflection!"
